PWCenter Faculty
Ann Munroe Mullen lives and teaches Proprioceptive Writing® in Saranac Lake, in the Adirondack Mountain region of New York State. She discovered Proprioceptive Writing in 1991 at a workshop at Omega Institute. It was a profound experience that she never forgot. She returned to PW in 2009 and began studying with Linda Trichter Metcalf, PhD, in the PW Teaching Program.
Ann was certified to teach PW in 2010 and has continued her studies and coursework, as well as both assisting and teaching with Linda at Kripalu Retreat Center. As well as teaching through the PWCenter, Ann teaches through her own website, where she offers PW in conference-call, in-person, and virtual formats.
Ann has a history degree from Rutgers University with a concentration in the Lesbian liberation movement. She was active for years in LGBTQ-related issues. Before she retired in 2008, Ann worked as a corporate diversity director.
“Thanks to PW practice, the change in how I think about my life now feels miraculous at times. I can’t imagine returning to my previous relationship to my thinking—a sort of hit-or-miss engagement.”
