Proprioceptive Writing® Immersions

What is it like to really hear yourself?
Unlike ordinary hearing, it’s like entering a world where you know yourself differently than you did before. Following certain simple rules while you write opens a gate to this blissful realm. The more you immerse yourself in this practice, the further you travel from ordinary self-judgments, and the greater your confidence to think in new ways.

HOW TO HEAR YOURSELF

Immersions are a good way to begin and support an on-going practice. Immersions allow you to practice Proprioceptive Writing® (PW) in a circle of others while you learn how to awaken your mind’s proprioceptive sense. Immersions are led by PW’s founder and author of Writing the Mind Alive, Linda Trichter Metcalf, assisted by PWCenter Faculty. You’ll learn to heighten consciousness through inner hearing as Linda guides you towards knowing yourself in new, often liberating ways.

I’m still wondering what happened to me over the week. I have the most wonderful feeling of peace and calm; that awful feeling of belligerence, which I’ve had for most of my life, seems to have faded. It gives me a great sense of relief.

ONLINE
IMMERSIONS

Small groups meet via Zoom over two or more days for four or more consecutive PW sessions. Each session runs 2-3 hours depending on the number of participants. Writing is part of each session.

IN-PERSON IMMERSIONS

We hold 4 and 5-day immersions throughout the year on the East Coast and in California. See schedule below.
